1.1.3 Degree & Career

The double Master (MSc) degree is given upon successful completion of the program by the University of Buenos Aires and the University of FreiburgThe master course has been recently accreditated in Argentina by the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CoNEAU) and in Germany by Acquin an Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute in Bayreuth.

This degree is recognized in all EU countries.

The IMBS Master given by the University of Buenos Aires and by the University of Freiburg enables graduate students to work in the areas of diagnostics, biomedical research, development and production.

The degree M.Sc. offers the opportunity of PhD programs e.g. at the Spemann Graduate School of Biology and Medicine in Freiburg, at the University of Buenos Aires or other institutions in the Americas and Europe.

Diagnostic laboratories
Molecular diagnostics at medical, biotechnical, environmental and forensic institutions

Molecular diagnostics in different clinical disciplines (internal medicine, pediatrics, human genetics etc.)

Regulatory agencies
Supervision of legal regulations e.g. in research offices

Basic and translational research, quality control, production, marketing, etc.

Research institutes
Biomedical basic and translational research at universities, institutes of the Max-Planck-Society and other research facilities
