Tuition fee is 3180 € per semester and includes travel costs (from Buenos Aires to Freiburg round ticket) and housing in Freiburg (shared room). Partial scholarships are available. The semester fee includes the transport Ticket in Freiburg, which entitles you to use local trains and trams for free. To apply for a scholarship please complete the financial statement at the end of the application form explaining the reasons for applying for the scholarship and the Program, and the percentage of scholarship required.We encourage our students to apply for external scholarships (example: DAAD), remember you can apply for the Msc/PhD program.
Living Costs
Living costs in Freiburg (without accommodation in or health insurance) it is around 500 Euros per month for a single person. Living costs in Buenos Aires range from 300-400 Euros per month (including accommodation)
Housing
In Freiburg IMBS coordination will help students find accommodation either in or off campus (accommodation in Freiburg is included in the tuition fee, apartments only for our students, shared rooms).
In Buenos Aires the postgraduate office can help students find accommodation.
Health Insurance
German health insurance or international health insurance is obligatory for all. Special student insurance is available at low rates to all students under 30 years of age. This insurance covers the costs of normal medical treatment (including dental care) in Germany. The monthly payment is currently approx. 35-59 Euros. DAAD offers a wide coverage for students for 111 Euros Monthly.
